Binou is an authentic four bedroom ‘Perigourdine’ farmhouse with one bedroom offered for ‘Bed and Breakfast’ all year round.

Binou is set in a tranquil setting well away from the road and offers a spacious garden with many secluded areas such as the herb garden at the end of the pool or the vine-covered sunset terrace, with rolling countryside views.
The large swimming pool is solar heated and maintains a comfortable temperature from May to October. This no-chlorine pool has lightly saline water and a uniform depth of 1.5 metres allowing most adults to stand everywhere. There is an infrared alarm system for young children.

The villa – interior
The house and barn alongside date from the middle ages with renovation in the 18th. century. It is a house style typical of the Dordogne with tall pointed roof and dormer windows. Careful renovation has preserved the original features such as colombage walls, exposed stone, large fireplaces and antique sinks, while creating a modern, comfortable home.
The ‘bed and breakfast’ area is in a self-contained part of the house downstairs and is cool and airy in the summer. The bedroom has direct access to the garden and pool and is furnished with a double bed. A cot can be provided on request. There is a bathroom with shower and WC alongside, separate WC and a small seating area opening to a private terrace at the back of the house.
The house is close to Villeréal, a thirteenth century ‘bastide’ town with a lot of life and character as well as all modern amenities and good supermarkets. For more information about Villeréal, Issigeac and the Dordogne and Lot valleys, see the ‘The Locality’ page.

Journeys, like artists, are born and not made. A thousand differing circumstances contribute to them, few of them willed or determined by the will --whatever we may think.
